Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Program

The objective of our maintenance program is to provide your company with a detailed and deliberate electrical and mechanical maintenance program designed specifically for your business.  Our maintenance program will incorporate several different areas of preventative maintenance for the facility’s electrical system and manufacturing equipment which will include electrical and mechanical components.  Our program also includes a complete power quality assessment to determine power quality issues affecting production.  We design and implement a focused preventative maintenance program to determine  causes of problems and create a working plan to prevent and/or minimize future production down time.  Five Star personnel works closely with our customer’s management team and follow customer’s chain of command to coordinate work orders as well as emergency issues that arise from time to time. 

Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Program

The selected maintenance personnel would be skilled in the area of industrial maintenance and able to perform the following duties:

•Detailed understanding of electrical technology as well as electrical troubleshooting capabilities
•Capable of performing mechanical maintenance on equipment to include but not limited to: welding, fabrication, hydraulic and pneumatic experience, etc.

•Electrical construction applications pertaining to new equipment, relocation of equipment.

Five Star collects detailed data that is utilized for all production lines with regular updating and recording of maintenance performed. This step would be necessary for a healthy and accurate understanding of all systems and related problems.  We employ preventative maintenance plans for existing machinery and update as necessary to remain current as new equipment is installed or machinery repaired with replacement parts. 

Five Star issues weekly reports to our customers to provide management with detailed work performed, preventative steps taken and most importantly, prior production planning for up-coming scheduled maintenance procedures.  Our attention to detail allows for trending data to be collected on production down time as it relates to maintenance, corrective action for prevention of future down time and then scheduled down time as it relates to real time issues that are discovered through this process.

This report would be reviewed by management in the following areas, plant manager, production manager, maintenance manager so that all parties can be involved with the optimum condition for production.

 

Plant Project Coordination Program

Five Star also provides total plant project coordination and sourcing of material.  This would include any special projects your company takes on from new equipment upgrades to facility upgrades.  We have found our customers enjoy the comfort of not being tied down with the time-consuming coordination and monitoring with third party contractors.  Our customers are kept up to date as to the progress and ensured quality of service without having to keep constant supervision of the project. 

 

Inventory Parts Management

Another facet of our service is a complete parts inventory management software system.  On day one an inventory is taken of all parts and entered into an inventory management database that provides controls over the parts inventory.  This system provides minimum on hand reports that aid in the ordering process as well as conserving the customer’s cash outlay for parts.  In addition, this software system provides a preventative maintenance schedule by equipment and by person ensuring all PM’s are performed in an accurate and timely manner.
